Oaty Raisin Biscuits

These delicious oaty drops are tasty and nutritious. They are perfect for when you want to send something healthy and yummy in that lunch box!


  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup apple sauce

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 cups rolled oats

  • 1 cup plain flour

  • 1/2 cup raisins

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and set aside.

  2. In a bowl, sift the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar and sugar for one minute. Add the egg, apple sauce and vanilla extract. Mix for 2 minutes.

  4. While the mixer is running, gradually add the flour to the butter and sugar and mix until combined.

  5. Fold in the oats and raisins. Drop teaspoonfuls onto the baking tray about 3 cm apart and bake for 10-12 minutes.
